The study assesses the extent to which sustainable building construction practices are incorporated in the construction of buildings in Lagos State, Nigeria. A survey of 100 construction professionals and mass housing unit owners was conducted on frequently implemented sustainable practices on buildings projects and the perceived satisfaction of users of buildings on sustainability features. A total of 80 questionnaires were successfully retrieved and processed for analysis using frequency tables and relative implementation index. The result shows that sustainable practices that are often incorporated into mass housing projects during construction include downsizing the dominant use of incandescent bulbs and replacing them with energy-saving bulbs. The study concludes that there is a significant relationship between sustainable practices and the building users’ satisfaction.
