The data generated by the university are one of its corporate assets which need to be properly protected and utilized. This article develops an integrated statistical system as part of a broader strategy of information management by the University of Lagos as an agenda beyond its 50th anniversary. A statistical system provides relevant, reliable, and accurate information. Data integration allows an organization to consolidate its present and historical data contained in the production system. The proposed model incorporates various national and international initiatives for having reliable, up-to-date, timely, efficient data dissemination and effective statistical information system. The policy implications of the proposed method are discussed.
