It is a way of increasing the provision of public works and services without increasing government borrowing. However, quantity surveyors are professionals who specialize in construction cost management and assist clients in achieving value for their money. This paper reviewed the roles of quantity surveyors in the implementation of public projects under public private partnership in Nigeria with the aim of identifying the benefits of their active involvement in the procurement process. This is a report of preliminary study based on literature and interview of selected participants in the implementation of public private partnership projects in Nigeria. The findings showed that few quantity surveyors are involved in the planning and implementation of public projects under public private partnership arrangement. Since quantity surveyors are experts in the contract management, it is recommended that more quantity surveyors should be encouraged to participate actively in the procurement of public projects under public private partnership contracts.
