- ItemOpen AccessCommon Fixed Points of a Three-Step Iteration with errors of Asymptotically Quasi-Nonexpansive Nonself-Mappings in the Intermediate sense in Banach spaces(F a s c i c u l i M a t h e m a t i c i, 2014) Okeke, G.A.; Olaleru, J.OIn this paper, we extend the results of Inprasit and Wattanataweekul [7] to the class of asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive nonself-mappings in the intermediate sense. We prove some strong convergence theorems for asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive nonself-mappings in the intermediate sense using a three-step iterative method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of a generalized mixed equilibrium problem and the set of common fixed points of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings in a real Hilbert space. Our results extends, improves, unifies and generalizes the results of [13], [25] and [27].
- ItemOpen AccessConvergence Theorems on Generalized Strongly Successively Φ-pseudocontractive Mappings in the Intermediate Sense(SCIENCEDOMAIN international, 2013) Olaoluwa, H; Okeke, G.AWe introduce a new class of nonlinear mappings, the class of generalized strongly successively Φ- pseudocontractive mappings in the intermediate sense and prove the convergence of Mann type iterative scheme to their fixed points. Our results improves and generalizes several other results in literature.
- ItemOpen AccessExistence of Fixed Points of Asymptotically Generalized Φ-Hemicontractive Mappings in the Intermediate Sense(Hikari Ltd, 2013) Olaleru, J.O; Okeke, G.ALet E be a real Banach space, C be a nonempty closed convex subset of E and T : C → C be a continuous generalized Φ-pseudocontractive mapping, Xiang [Chang He Xiang, Fixed point theorem for general- ized Φ-pseudocontractive mappings, Nonlinear Analysis 70 (2009) 2277- 2279] proved that T has a unique fixed point in C. It is our purpose in this study to extend the results of Xiang [11] to the class of asymptoti- cally generalized Φ-hemicontractive mappings in the intermediate sense, recently introduced by Okeke, Olaleru and Akewe [6].
- ItemOpen AccessExistence of Fixed Points of Certain Classes of Nonlinear Mappings(International Journal of Mathematical Modelling & Computations, 2014) Okeke, G.A.; Olaleru, J.OIn this study, we introduce the classes of ϕ-strongly pseudocontractive mappings in the intermediate sense and generalized Φ-pseudocontractive mappings in the intermediate sense and prove the existence of fixed points for those maps. The results generalise the results of several authors in literature including Xiang [Chang He Xiang, Fixed point theorem for generalized Φ-pseudocontractive mappings, Nonlinear Analysis 70 (2009) 2277-2279.
- ItemOpen AccessAn Extension of Gregus Fixed Point Theorem(Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2006-12-17) Olaleru, J.O; Akewe, HLet C be a closed convex subset of a complete metrizable topological vector space (X,d) and T :C→C a mapping that satisfies d(Tx,Ty)≤ad(x,y)+bd(x,Tx)+cd(y,Ty)+ ed(y,Tx)+ fd(x,Ty) for all x,y∈C, where 0
- ItemOpen AccessFixed point theorems for fixed point theorems for nonlinear equations in banach spaces(2013) Okeke, G.A; Akewe, HWe introduce a new class of nonlinear mappings, the class of φ-strongly quasi-accretive operators and approximate the unique common solution of a family of three of these operators in Banach spaces. Our results improves and generalizes the results of Xue and Fan [25], Yang et al. [26] and several others in literature.
- ItemOpen AccessModified Multi-Step Iterative Processes for a Finite Family of Asymptotically Pseudocontrative Maps(HIKARI Ltd, 2014) Olisama, V.O.; Mogbademu, A.A.; Olaleru, J.OVery recently, Mogbademu [6] answered in affirmative the open problem proposed in [9] by extending an iterative algorithm for two asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings to three mappings. He further asked if his results could be extended to the case of finite family of mappings. This sequel gives a positive answer to the open problem and equally extends so many results in this area of research.
