The descriptive research design of survey type was used. Stratified random sampling methods were used to select one hundred and ninety-six (196) respondents from four secondary schools. Two research instruments titled “Learning styles and self-efficacy in predicting academic performance of senior secondary school students’ and an English Language and Mathematics Achievement Test. Three research hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance to guide the study. Findings from the study revealed that: there is no significant relationship between students’ learning style and their academic performance; there is no significant difference in academic performance of students’ based on their levels of academic self-efficacy. Findings from the study also revealed that the most preferred style of learning is the auditory learning style, followed by visual learning style, and the least preferred is the kinesthetic learning style. Based on the findings, it was recommended amongst others that teachers should beef up their teaching methods so as to ignite the guest of their students in discovering the appropriate learning style that is useful for them in achieving educational success; Students should also take the individual challenge to identify the kind of learning style that suit their personality, which is a culture that can help to imbue their self-efficacy.
