Abstract
Traditional religions are fundamental primary and inexhaustive sources of knowledge of knowing things and knowledge of wisdom of people because they continue up till today to guide their daily activities both at material and spiritual levels. The study of myths of a particular society will require the researcher to go through. their ancestral ways of life that continue to influence the ways of life of the livings in modern time. The Yoruba people of Nigeria as well as the Fon people of Benin have a common belief in divine unity, the Supreme, God, the Creator.
