Abstract
Diabetes autonomic neuropathy (DAN), affects several systems with varying manifestations. The gastrointestinal system is one of the major targets for damage in long standing diabetes. Clinical manifestation of autonomic neuropathy involving the gastrointestinal system may be obvious or pose diagnostic problems when the diagnosis is not suspected. Here we present a case of autonomic neuropathy involving the oesophagus with the presentation of progressive dysphagia mimicking a neoplasm.
