Abstract
An increasing proportion of secondary school in Plateau State achieve results in the school certification which are inadequate for admission into institutions of higher learning. This group of students is very likely to seek employment after completing their course. The purpose of the study is to consider the relevance of the secondary school experience to employment in Plateau State in terms of the content of the secondary education available to students and the attitudes and expectations they imbibe while in schools.
