dc.description.abstractThis study investigated facilities and institutional recognition as predictors of traditional sports development in Lagos State. Descriptive survery research method was adopted for this study. It was delimited to athletes, coaches and sports administrators in tertiary institutions in Lagos State. A self-developed questionnaire was used to collect data for the study. 200 respondents were randomly sampled from the seletced tertiary instituions in Lagos state. Findings of the study revealed that facilities and equipment would have significant influence on the development of traditional sports in Lagos state. Also, recognition of traditional sports in the tertiary institutions games would have significant effect on the development of traditional sports in Lagos state.
