Abstract
Experiments were undertaken to develop a model which could be used to investigate the effects of various local environmental factors, dietary components from food groups such as carbohydrate, proteins and minerals on the macroscopic and microscopic changes involved in the initiation and progression of dental caries and also to quantitate the changes in dental caries and oral tissue structures using stereo logical methods.
