Abstract
Technology education is that aspect of education geared towards skill acquisition. It enables individuals to be self reliant, job creator and employer of labour. The paper discussed the meaning of technology education and vision 2020, the need for technology education in Nigeria, technology education and industry partnership in Nigeria. Strategies for school-industry partnership for the realization of vision 2020 was also explained in the paper. Recommendations were made in the paper towards consolidating technology education and industry partnership. Some of the recommendations include technology education should combine courses and programmes that reflects
tomorrow's world of work and industry partnership for the realization of vision 2020. There should be adequate funding from the federal and state governmentfor technology education to carry out practical projects in order to improve students' skill acquisition.
