A problem that arises frequently in statistical work is the testing of the comparability of a set of observed and expected frequencies. The test is often used in this instance; hence, a thorough study of this is considered in this paper. The teat for a general likelihood ratio test is adopted for testing hypothesis with the multinomial distribution. It’s application on cell probabilities with unknown parameters gives a more generality use for the regular test.en_US
