dc.description.abstract | This paper is a critical dissection of the various philosophies and policies that have shaped the present educational system in Nigeria. It is specifically, an attempt to grapple with three things, viz; first, to trace the philosophies and policies antecedental to the present practice of education in Nigeria; such trace makes it easy to decipher the rationale for the disparate provisions in the present adopted policy and philosophy; and thirdly, to propel an interest into engaging in well-informed and critical reconstruction or reconstitution of Nigerian philosophy and policy on education for a better society. | en_US |
