dc.description.abstractThis paper examined the gap existing between policy formulation and implementation of secondary education in Nigeria as indicated in the 1981 revised edition of National Policy on Education. Attention was drawn to the provisions of the policy document which have not been effectively implemented. Attempt was also made at identifying the problems that hindered the implementation of secondary Education and possible remedies to the problems.Suggestions and recommendations were made through which Secondary Education can meet the challenges of the 21st century and also serve as a strategy for sustaining National Development.en_US
