This research empirically aims at exploring the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) efficiency on supply chain optimization in healthcare. The research utilized correlational survey research design. Population is used in research and statistics in a way that it refers to the group that is of main interest to the study. The population comprised eight (8) public hospitals in Rivers state. Questionnaires were administered to 80 respondents in eight hospitals. “The data for this study were collected by means of primary data; the questionnaire was used as a tool in the primary data collection. A total of eighty (80) questionnaires were administered in the distribution frame of 10 questionnaires per firm. In an endeavor to determine reliability on the collected data, Cronbach Alpha coefficient was used and the results yielded a value of 0.98. The quantitative data gathered for the study were described and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.” The findings of this study were achieved through the use of Linear Regression Model and simple percentage, both of which were used in testing the various hypotheses formulated. Statistical analyses revealed strong, positive correlations between AI and both supply chain optimization (R = .828, R² = .686). These findings suggested that AI has a direct impact on supply chain optimization. The discoveries are in accordance with prior studies showing how effective and robust AI is in supply chain management. The research also asserts that integrating artificial intelligence in the supply chains of the healthcare industry has benefits that include; reduced cost, minimized waste, and increased inventory management. Therefore, it suggests that all healthcare facilities should adopt AI technology and engage in training of its human resources as well as entering partnerships with various AI merchants so that they can come up with a generic AI logistics solution for the healthcare facilities.
