dc.description.abstract | Education is the process of giving and receiving systematically coordinated instructions that transform the learner into knowledgeable and valuable contributor to the development of the society at large. We have formal and informal education and there are different levels of formal education in nations of the world. After the elementary, Nursery/Primary School level, children are admitted into the secondary/High school before a fraction of them gain admission to tertiary institutions such as polytechnics, colleges of education and Universities. The secondary school education has the potential of providing the baseline for large numbers of adolescents to acquire the knowledge needed to better participate in a peaceful, democratic society as well as develop the necessary knowledge to avoid risky behaviour and lead healthy life. | en_US |
