dc.description.abstract | knowledge, skills, attitudes, ability to reason rationally and all other ways of positive behaviour of individuals. It becomes necessary to understand the way in which individual educability is influenced by the efforts of teachers and the ranges of curricular offerings planned on the basis of their continuing philosophical concepts such as rationality, justice, responsibility, creativity, self-reliance, lifelong education, freedom, democracy, equality, authority, etc. These are some of the examples of values that could have widespread acceptance and interpretation by different individuals and societies. They are more likely to influence the kind of interaction the teacher develops with his/ her students and the operational approach he/she adopts in classroom management and administration. Therefore, teachers should embrace philosophy in their rational orientation towards the pursuit of knowledge professionally. Such an approach of coherent schooling and learning centred on . moulding productive and responsible citizens may be the basis for the promotion of better human relation, enduring peace and prosperity. This chapter therefore discusses some of such philosophical concepts as mentioned above. | en_US |
