dc.description.abstractThe line between professionals and paraprofessionals have continued to go for a long time and evidence suggests that this trend will continue' due to sociological, educational and technological forces with library users becoming more diverse and having more immediate needs /01' information. This paper to investigate the effects of the changing roles between the professional and paraprofessional librarians in terms of reward, benefits, recognition, and values brought about by the overlapping nature of job-related relationships; and differences in level 0/ job satisfactions in several areas 0/ job appreciation, promotion and development in six libraries in Lagos people library personnel issue between professional and paraprofessiona lemployees has been given attention in the literature.
