Abstract
The study examined the influence of HIV /AIDS awareness on Sexual behavior of Unmarried Under Graduate Students of University of Lagos, Nigeria. An attempt was made to see if the level of awareness of HIV/AIDS will positively or negatively influence Sexual behaviour of Students. The sample comprised 150 (75 Males and 75 Females) undergraduates randomly selected from five faculties of the University of Lagos. Two research hypotheses were postulated and the data generated were analyzed using t-test statistical procedure. The result revealed that: There is a significant
influence of the level of awareness of HIV/AIDS on undergraduate Students' Sexual behavior, There
is no significant gender difference in the sexual behaviour of undergraduate as a result of
their awareness of HIV/AIDS. Based on the findings, it is concluded that high level of awareness of
HIV/AIDS helped in reducing risk sexual behaviour among undergraduates. Recommendations
were made based on the findings.
