Personal Pronouns class in Russian and Yorùbá languages are characteristically heterogeneous in nature, particularly when compared with other grammatical categories. Since pronouns are words used to refer to nouns, most pronouns are pro-forms for noun phrases. This paper aims to analyse the class, usage, structure and meaning of the personal pronouns in the Russian and Yorùbá languages. The paper employs descriptive approach in bringing to light the similarities and differences present in the personal pronouns of the two languages. It argues that a proper understanding of the personal pronouns of each language is key to understanding the language and the culture of the two people since elements of culture are embedded in the personal pronouns. We conclude that denotative meaning is the primary role of personal pronouns in a given proposition, while connotative meaning is seen as the secondary role.en_US
