dc.description.abstract | Africans are said to be incurably religious and that in all things religious. This religiosity comes to the fore in the activities of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club since its establishment in 1959. Their Activities include prayer sessions, sacrifice and the invocation of the divine through the employment of religious songs. This Paper appraised some of those songs, reasons for their employment, the sentiments often displayed and the role of songs in sports rituals.
