dc.description.abstractDepression, which is fast becoming very common in the society was examined in relation with the cultural manifestations, in this paper. One hundred and twenty adults 60 Nigerians, 30 Africans aliens and 30 non-African aliens) participated in this study. The results of their responses to the Depression Index Questionnaires showed that Nigerians were less predisposed to depression when compared to the aliens. However, no significant difference was recorded when these Nigerians were compared to the African aliens. Implications for counselling and good neighbourliness were discussed.en_US
