Abstract
This study investigated the effectiveness af transactianal analysis skills training ancl
logotherapy on sexual sati.rfaction and marital rnaladjustment of educated married
wotvren in Kontagora, I'{iger State, lVigeria. Quasi experirnental pre-test/post-test control
groLrp design was adoptedfor the study. The Multistage sanzpling techniques were applied
to select a total af one hundred and twenty two (122) educ.ated married wotnerL who were
found to be having mctrital maladjustment usirtg the Locke and Wallace rnarital
adjusttnent test (LWMAD. Three instruments weri used to generate ibtn pretest ancl
pasttest data for the study. The three instrwments are Dycdic AC,justment Scale (DAS);
Index af Sexual Satisfaction (ISS) and Loclre-Wellace Marital Adjustment Test. Two
hypotheses werefontrulated ond tested at {). 05 level oJ'significatlce. The two ltypotheses
$)ere tested usi.ng the Analysis of Covariance (At\CCVA) The results from the dota
analysis led to the rejection of the two hypotheses. The.findings of the stutly revealed that
Transactional Analysis skills training and Logotherapy l.tad significant e-ffe.ct on the
participants'marital maladjwstment. The study also revealed that transaction-ii'qnatysis
skills trainirug were more effective in increasing sexual satisJaction amrsng di*Lrcd
ma,vvisdworuen. Based on thesefindings, a n,umber of recon'truendations were madeinicn
