Abstract
The Study examined the effectiveness of Students’ Support Programmes (SSP) as perceived by students of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The aims of the study are to determine students’ perception of the effectiveness of SSP in Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria and to determine the level of students’ satisfaction with the available support programmes. Survey research design was adopted for the study and a total of 500 undergraduates of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, were randomly selected from three faculties in the University for the Study. A questionnaire titled Students’ Perception and Satisfaction Questionnaire (SPSQ) was employed to obtain relevant data which were analyzed using quantitative data analysis. Based on the findings of the study, recommendations were made on strategies of improving the existing student’s support programmes and developing innovations that can match with present day realities.
