dc.description.abstractThis paper examined how and the extent to which Business education programme can serve as a means of achieving, maintaining and sustaining millennium goals of vision 2030 in Nigeria. Two research questions and hypotheses were answered and tested to guide the study. The descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population was one-thousand six hundred and forty (1,640). Multi-stage stratified sampling technique was used to determine the sample size of nine hundred and thirty-three (933), made up of 43 lecturers, 18 administrators, (Head of Department and Deans) from the faculties of the sampled schools and eight hundred and seventy-three students (873). The research instrument used for this study was questionnaire titled: evaluation of business education programme which was validated. Test-retest reliability was conducted with r=0.85. Data collected was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics which includes frequency count, mean, percentage and standard deviation,, analysis of variance and post-hoc were used to test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance, findings from the study revealed that business education programme is capable of achieving, maintaining and sustaining the objectives of vision 2030 in Nigeria. The study recommended that government should gear the orientation of people towards establishing their own business and assist them with funds.
