The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of virtual collaboration systems at enhancing operational performance in University of Lagos. The study adopted a web-based survey using an online questionnaire that used a combination of closed-ended and open-ended questions. The population comprised all the academic staff of the university. The researcher validated the online survey by testing it with five members of the target population in a pilot survey that was carried out as part of the survey design. Feedback received from the pilot survey was used to correct unnoticed errors and ambiguities in survey. The results revealed operational performance problems in the university arising from inadequate information processing and appropriation support. Suggestions for solving the identified problems were proffered.en_US
