A new set of dimensions was developed to measure coffee culture to find out the factors that influence coffee culture in Nigerian market. The study specifically focuses on Southern Nigerian market, and the Northern part of the country is not captured based on previous studies that revealed that coffee consumption is more or less associated with Islam which happens to be the dominant religion in the North. Thus, the dimensions of elitism, health, socialisation, culture and commercialisation were developed, and the study concluded, across the variables that coffee culture is very low among the indigenes of the Southern part of the country. Also, the study furthers that there is a great potential for coffee culture to grow in the economy.en_US
