dc.description.abstract | This study examined the effects of Rational Emotive Behavioural therapy and Family Counselling Therapy on Burnout among married working nursing mothers in Ibadan, Nigeria. The main objective is to see how counselling therapies can be used to reduce executive stress and burnout that prevail among workers especially women who have double roles of contending with work and marital duties. The sample comprised 97 participant randomly selected from a pool of 600 married working nursing mothers experiencing burnout... The participants were randomly assigned to three experimental groups. Two hypotheses were formulated and tested in the study using the Analysis of covariance and Fisher's protected t-test statistics. The findings show that there is a significant effect of counselling on level of burnout experience by married working nursing mothers. It found that rational emotive behavioral therapy significantly reduce levels of burnout among participants than either family counselling therapy or control group. It also found that level of spousal communication significantly affect burnout among participants and that adequate spousal communication reduces burnout tendency significantly than either moderate or poor spousal communication level. It was concluded that counselling and spousal communication have significant impact on burnout among married working nursing mothers. | en_US |
