dc.description.abstractCushing’s disease is usually missed for a long period of time as its symptoms can be non-specific, however, with early diagnosis and commencement of definitive therapy, there’s the hope of a potential reversal of its symptoms, the signs, and very possibly all of its complications. A 33-year-old female seamstress presented at the endocrine clinic of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on referral from a private clinic on account of a three years history of intermittent, generalized headache, irregular menses, generalized weakness and significant weight gain of 22kg. (76kg-98kg). She also had poor vision, bilateral foot swelling, no periorbital swelling, no cold intolerance and was initially managed prior to her attendance at the LUTH for polycystic ovarian syndrome and then Cushing's syndrome. Tests carried out confirmed Cushing's disease and she had transsphenoidal surgery of a pituitary adenoma. Thereafter she made steady recovery and reversal of almost all of the earlier features within a 2 year period of follow up care and follow-up.en_US
