Abstract
The work examines the need for the establishment of independent regulatory activities in Nigeria to make the process of price regulation more efficient, consistent and predictable and amenable to arbitrary judgement of regulators. It also examines the need for private sector participation and reforms in the energy sector so that such can secure the supply of electricity.
