| dc.description.abstract | This study analyses the effects of specific factors on happiness and its reversal causation on productivity which in turn impact economic growth. It assumes that these factors act as transmission mechanisms which impact economic activities of the Ajaguro Community, a rural development area of Lagos State, Nigeria. Results show that marital status, higher levels of education, quality of life and job satisfaction influence happiness and consequently economic growth. It discovers that age, gender, ethnicity and job position have no significant impact on happiness and economic growth. These results suggest the need for Nigerian policy makers to adopt programs that can boost happiness of her citizenry for better economic performance. | |
