The descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study comprised of all senior secondary school students in Education District IV of Lagos State. Also, the findings of the study further revealed that there was a significant difference in the academic performance of students from polygamous and monogamous homes. Based on the findings. it was recommended among others that the population of students admitted into schools should be dependent on the available facilities, also more classrooms should be construct make adequate provision for more facilities and seats especially in urban schools in order to easy the problem of overcrowded classrooms and poor sitting arrangements that presently make teaching and learning difficult in public secondary schools.en_US
