dc.description.abstractThe thrust or science education research is to develop evaluation indicators Tor analyzing and critiquing a completed study. This paper has challenged this policy thrust by examining the concepts of evaluation and research. It highlights that all studies fall under three types of research: Historical, descriptive and experimental research. Twelve steps that could be applied when evaluating science education research arc enumerated. The paper suggests that science education research should follow patterns, styles and forms used in academic circles, even though style may differ. It concludes that effective science education evaluation research would help the researcher (o develop competencies and skills during curriculum evaluation process.en_US
