Abstract
Preparing Workforce for various sectors of economy requires effective curriculum contents and adequate instructional materials for effective teaching of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme. The study adopts survey research design 71 final year degree Ekiti State University students working in classroom and 35 working in industries were used as respondents. Three research questions were posed for the study and three research hypotheses tested. Mean and Standard Deviation (SD) were used in the analysis of data for the research questions while t-test statistics was applied in testing the null hypotheses at 0.05% level of significance. The findings of the study showed that curriculum is appropriate to a certain extent and the perceived area in need of review should be considered f?y curriculum planners, also the training facilities that will ensure that the concept acquired are more enduring and easy to recall are not adequate for teaching woodwork] building programme towards effective manpower development .it was recommended that government and technical educators should take into consideration various perceived aspects that need to be improved to effectiveness setting up monitoring to monitor the implementation of the programme. inadequate training facilities mar the quality and competency of workforce . Therefore, government, private organisation and TVET institutions should provide learning experience that will make curriculum relevant, functional and adequate to need of workforce through teaching materials, power tools, hand tools, materials, recent books, journal, periodical in technical education.
