Abstract
This study was concerned with the effects of transfer of teachers services on
teachers' efficiency within Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos State. The
teacher and his characteristics were discussed in relation to transfer of
teachers' service and Youth' Academic Excellence and Career development.
The effects of transfer of teachers' services were discussed as regard the
Four null hypotheses were formulated and a researcher self constructed
questionnaire was used to collect responses from the teachers. The t-test statistic was used to test each hypothesis at 5% significance level. The result of the investigation showed that transfer of teachers service affect
teachers' efficiency. Transfer of teachers' services does not contribute to
teachers' burnout. The transfer of teachers' services does not affect teacher-students relationship significantly. The counselling implications were discussed.
