Abstract
The study investigated the effect of Pastoral Counselling and Reality Therapy on compassion .fatigue among the Clergy in Ogun State, Nigeria. Four research hypotheses were tested in this study. Quasi-experimental Pre-test/Post-test, control method was employed. One hundred and fifty Clergy randomly selected from various denominations participated in the study. The results obtained showed that both Pastoral Counselling and Reality Therapy were effective in addressing the compassion fatigue of these Clergy. Pastoral Counselling however recorded a higher level of effectiveness. The counselling implications were discussed.
