Abstract
Peroxidase catalyses the oxidation of certain compounds by hydrogen peroxide. These compounds include phenols, aromatic primary, secondary and tertiary amines, leuco-dyes, certain heterocyclic compounds such as ascorbic acidand indole and inorganic ions particularly the iodide ion.
