Abstract
This chapter seeks to understand teh strategies adopted by the Urban poor in responding to the challenges of a twenty first century dynamic Lagos megacity. The chapter teases out the inherent potentials in infomral systems currently being practices, and highlights the agency that can be recognised and adopted in Africa's distinct urban scenario.
