Economics of sovabean processing was investigated through a field survey of randomly selected 104 sovabean processors in Gwer Local Government, Benue state. Results indicated that majority of the soyabean processors were female who are of middle age and literate. Eight (8) products of soyabean were identified: Akpukpa, “soyamilk”, "Dawadawa", Soya beverage, Soya pap 2:5, 'Soya Soup, Soya cake, Soya flour 1:2:7. Soya oil was not produced traditionally in the area due to lack of processinq technique. Soyabean milk has the highest percentage of utility, while soyabean cake has the least. Processing of soyabean in the area is low as few of the users were actually engaged in the processing themselves. Processing into "Akpukpa" and soya milk were the most profitable with gross margin of #8,370 and #6,910 per 50kg raw soyabean respectively. This was followed by soyabean beverage and "Dawadawa" with gross margin of #4,450.00 and #2,610.00 per 50kg of raw soyabean respectively. "Akpukpa", soyarnilk, soya beverage "dawadawa" have gross ratios of 0.30, 0.30, 0.41, and 0.48 respectively. Problems associated with soyabean processing in the area were identified and recommendations were made to promote soyabean processingen_US
