This study examined the relationship between Social Studies teacher factors and students’ academic performance in Lagos State. The sample consisted of sixty (60) teachers randomly selected from thirty (30) secondary schools in Lagos State. The instrument used for this study was a questionnaire titled, ‘Teacher Factors and Students’ Academic Performance Questionnaire’ (TFSAPQ).Five hypotheses were tested. The findings show that, teachers’ qualification will significantly affect students’ performance; there is no significant effect of teachers’ experience on students’ academic performance; there is a significant effect of teachers’ competence on students’ performance; there is a significant effect of teachers’ mode of instruction on students’ performance; teachers’ motivation will not significantly affect students’ performance.
