Abstract
The bane of most publications on contemporary African art in existence is that they cannot be confidently tagged substantive as such. This is because the information contained in them often reflects some degree of ethnocentricism, application of wrong methodologies, poor information processing and management leading to dissemination of ideas which are questionable. Others are improper interpretation of existing theories, art forms and artist intentions among many others. This however has been the trend for decades.
