Communication could be a determinant of the workflow and outcome of any project. This study therefore investigates the impact of communication strategies on construction projects, with a view to enhance the workflow and outcomes. The specific objectives are to examine the application of communication strategies in construction projects; and to establish the impact of such strategies on projects’ outcomes. The population of the study is professionals in construction companies in Lagos State. A total sample of 110 was selected purposively from the population, while appropriate tools were used for the analysis of data. The findings revealed four categories of communication strategies used on construction projects including written, verbal, formal and informal, out of which electronic media is the most frequently used; and the highest impact of the strategies was on cost outcome. It is concluded that although several communication strategies are available for use in construction projects, some strategies are yet to be well utilized, implying limited communications on projects. It is recommended that the engagement of salient strategies should be considered and improved. This can be done by creating awareness and providing training on such strategies
