This study examined the application of digital literacy to healthy living practices of fishermen at Ebute Ikorodu Lagos to address deteriorating health standards in communities. Quasi experimental and descriptive survey research designs were employed for the study. The study population comprised adult fishermen and women in Ebute Ikorodu alongside other members of the community. Three research questions and one hypothesis were raised to guide the study. Purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of fifty (50) fishermen and women for quasi experimental while 250 were selected using stratified random sampling technique for the survey. 25 respondents were used as experimental group while the other 25 served as the control group. The experimental group was exposed to digital literacy skills training for four (4) weeks using handsets while the control group only received basic literacy training. Interview and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) guides were designed, validated by two research experts from University of Lagos, and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State respectively and used for data collection. Data generated were analysed using charts, tables, frequency counts and qualitative approaches. It was discovered among others that the experimental group was able to access, decode and comply with health tip messages sent to their phones, hence their health practices improved significantly. The control group improved only in reading and writing skills but not on health practices. It was recommended among others that more fisher men and women should be exposed to digital literacy trainings to improve their health practices and statuses.en_US
