Abstract
One of the distinctive features between the human beings arid other kinds of mammalian animal kingdom is the clothing and dressing. These clothing and dressing that are peculiar to human beings should be done to achieve the desired objective according to Islamic culture. This study aims at investigating into, the concept of At- Tahajjub within the Sharfah Framework and Neo-Ijtihad challenges. ' The paper views the concept of At-Tahajjub in the Islamic culture and its moral and social objectives, it then gives out a conceptual clarification of the term "At- Tahajjub" and its related key terms featuring in the paper. The study moves on to examine the exegetical and jurisprudential discourses on the issues surrounding the concept of At- Tahajjub in Sharfah. It also examines the neo-Ijtihad challenges on some of the matters related to the concept of At- Tahajjub with the necessary response from the Sharfah desk. The study is finally concluded with the findings and recommendation for the better unders.tanding of the concept of At- Tahajjub in Sharf ah.
