Abstract
The study sets out to find out the level of awareness of women trafficking, its meaning, causes, effects and remedies in Lagos state. Eight research questions were posed to guide the inquiry. A questionnaire (WTIN) was designed and administered on 500 randomly selected female married students in five tertiary institutions’ in the state. Data obtained were analysed using simple descriptive statistics – frequency and percentages. From the analysis, many of the respondents were very much aware of the phenomenon of women trafficking and its negative effects. The study has implications for parents, guardian, teachers, social workers and policy makers in Nigeria.
