Social Welfare provisions and quality of life of Nigerians: need for awareness creation on family size

Social welfare is a nation’s systems of programs, benefits and services that help people meet those socio-economic, educational and health needs that are fundamental to the maintenance of society and the wellbeing of such in the community. Social welfare programs are broad concepts relate to the general wellbeing of all individuals without exception, including the quality of life of all being. This paper attempts to examine the links between social welfare provisions and quality of life of Nigerians. The paper inferred that for social welfare programs to enhance the quality of life of individuals and the groups in the community, efforts should be made to create awareness on family size.
