dc.description.abstractThe mass media are phenomena that influence in the lives of man and on society is indispensable. This study examines the role of the mass media in bringing about increase consciousness, education, and knowledge about the environment. The study concludes that journalists adopt multipolar method of reporting the environment unlike the traditional balance method and that journalists should challenge the people to become engaged and take ownership of the environmental problems of the societyen_US
