National integration and development of any civilized nation is a matter of necessity. Every nation should be able to boast of her own growth capacity of her own natural disposition without necessarily shedding the blood of innocent soul through the tribal, ethnic and religious clashes in her environs. The vital instrument to achieve this venture requires the people solidarity and national consciousness which Al-Banna termed as Wataniyyah and Qawmiyyah in his theory of socio-political thought. As a result of this, this paper examines the theories of Wataniyyah and Qawmiyyah of Hasan Al-Banna as recipe to the national integration and social development in Nigerian environs.
