Abstract
This paper examines how technical elements are used in the presentation in an unconventional stage of A Dance of the Forests that was presented at Ijegba9 Soyink's residence in Abeokuta) as directed by Tunde Awosanmi and the challenges staging Death and the King's Horeseman on a conventional stage (the Cinema Hall I of the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos) by the National Troupe of Nigeria as directed by Mike Anyanwu.
