dc.description.abstractThe paper delved on the analysis of extent of compliance by the various stakeholders, in the criminal justice system, with the international due process requirements, in the processing of a capital offender at the trial stage. The paper also appraised a capital offender’s rights to fair hearing, trial within a reasonable time in the public, right to presumption of innocence, adequate time and facility to prepare defence and the right to mandatory legal representation.en_US
